Building our House

This blog is intended to allow friends to share our experiences, as we build our new home. We have had to deal with pin headed bureaucrats, an egotistical architect, and (fortunately) the most wonderful building contractor!

12/07/2006

We're building on the extreme Western side of the Pahrump valley, in Nevada. The site looks over the valley, and has the most spectacular view of Mount Charleston, which is almost 12,000 ft high. Mount Charleston, at sunset is pure magic... those of you who have experienced a southwestern desert sunset will know just what I mean, and for those of you that have never seen a mountain lit up with that soft incandescent pink light for a fleeting few minutes each evening... you're missing one of life's few freebies!!

NOTE: Ignore the post dates... they have (obviously) been manipulated (thanks to Jae's insight) to allow the posts to come up in the sequence that I want them to, rather than last in first viewed.

As I threatened, I have made another blog site... go check it out at http://www.xrhodie1.blogspot.com/

Sites like this don't come around very often. You have a great site. I was thinking about a new blob for my free prepaid credit card website. What do you think?

the best part when you're building that house is when you're shopping for the tiles, the faucets, and all the materials for building the house.

and you get to design your own instead of buying a premade house.

    best of luck
